Between the 8-25 Sep 07 I went on a trip up to Far North Queensland. I managed to fit in a lot of rock climbing, bush walking, four wheel driving, and catching up with old friends. This was the first time for me to play with my new toy, the Cannon 40D, my new digital SLR. Best feature: its ability to take 6.5 shots per second; love.
My galleries are all over the place, due to smug mugs use of categories, and lack of keyword support; so I have combined them all together here as the major event gallery. You will need to click on the links in the text, and not the photo, to get to the actual gallery. Try out the keywords too, they should work ok.

Rock Climbing > Townsville - Kissing Point (5 photos)
I was here about four years ago. I tried to climb Swinging in the Sunday Breeze (21) and couldn't even get to the first bolt. Revenge was mine this time, with me completing the onsight attempt. I nearly took a tumble towards to the top, but ended up climbing to the slight right to save myself. I think this climb is derived if you climb it according to the guide, but fun otherwise. 20 Sep 07

Rock Climbing > Townsville - Harveys Marbles (37 photos)
In the morning Andy and I went out for a quick look at Harveys Marbles. We started off on Bum Crack (V1) and we both managed to get it first go. Next we gave The Castle a go. Its a huge boulder, with no really easy way to get up or down. In the afternoon we met up with Steve Baskerville, and he was kind enough to guide us around. Thanks Steve! He then continue to smash us, with one classic after the next.
